The Telling Tales Challenge December Link Up!

This is finally it - the last link up of the year! I hope you've all enjoyed this as much as I have! Like I've mentioned previously, I will be entering everybody who has reviews on the master list into a draw to win a book of their choice from the Book Depository. I'll announce the winner at the end of the month, and there will also be a special prize for somebody! Because I'm clearly insane, I want to get caught up on reviews for this challenge in December, which means I need to write SEVEN reviews, so I need to get on it! Feel free to link any reviews you've forgotten to add to the relevant month!

Because I'm crazy, I will be hosting this challenge again next year as a simplified version ( I think we got a bit carried away with categories this year!) so watch this space! :-)

Hope you've all enjoyed reading as much as I've enjoyed hosting.

  2. I finished the challenge too! Ended up with 17 books. For November and December, I'm adding "Spin the Sky" by Katy Stauber and "Beastly" by Alex Flinn.

All books are on one page: http://www.inkalicious.com/ninjaink/static.php?page=tt-chal-2012

I also added a couple books and a few shorts stories from two other challenges that fit the Fairytale theme.

The two books were "Voice" by Joseph Garraty (crossroads demon legend) and Karen Lord's "Redemption in Indigo," which is based on a Sengalese folktale and also has the spider trickster god Anansi running about.

The short stories: Cecil Castellucci's "Brother, Prince, Snake" (Prince Lindwurm, Scandanavian Beauty and the Beast); Michael Mullin's "8" (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves); Ann Sommerville's "A-Not-So-Grimm Fairytale" (Beauty and the Beast), and Marissa Meyer's "Glitch" (Cinderella).

I had lots of fun with this challenge and I think I'll sign up for the 2013 version as well.

BTW, congratulations on the arrival of your baby boy!
